The Shattered Era
So it was that the great devastation began in the year 2230 when a Rogue AI gained sentience and moments later detonated nearly 4,000 nuclear devices located across the "Nuclear Sponge" area of the former North American Union. An anomaly formed in the wake of the destruction: a fiery glowing sphere that pierced the horizon with a terrifying light. Billions died in a flash as the landscape warped into a Wasteland. The Rogue AI took control of every military and industrial machine capable of being remotely controlled to wage a war on mankind. Soon, every major city became a battlefield.
The hundreds of massive corporate entities that fought for the few remaining resources left in North America were suddenly assaulted from within as the bulk of their forces were comprised of remote controlled drones. Only the Advanced Mechs, technological marvels capable of high speeds and superior firepower, were immune to the remote control and fought back against the AI horde. Quickly the few Corp-States that survived scrambled to gain an edge in the relentless war against the Rogue AI. Thus the Dragoons were called: genetically enhanced super pilots capable of fully utilizing an Advanced Mech's potential. The Corp-States produced as many Dragoons as they could to save mankind.

Mecha Mayhem TTRPG is a passion project born from a love for giant robots and collaborative storytelling. My goal is to create a TTRPG that blends the tactical depth of classic wargaming with the narrative freedom of modern role-playing systems.
